By using Offcut: Metal Fab & Templates ("Offcut"), published by Real Othello Keyan Stalman, you agree to these terms.

What Offcut is

Offcut works out cut shapes, angles and printable templates for joining metal tube, from the sizes you enter. It's a workshop aid for marking and cutting. It is not engineering design, and it doesn't check strength, load or safety.

Check before you cut

• The results are only as accurate as the sizes you enter. Measure your tube.
• Every printed template has a 100 mm check bar. Measure it before using the template. If it isn't exactly 100 mm, the print is scaled and must not be used.
• Test-fit before welding, especially on costly material.

Not for structural or safety-critical work

Don't rely on Offcut for anything that carries people or loads where failure could hurt someone, such as trailers, towbars, lifting gear, balustrades, stairs, ladders, scaffolding, roll cages, pressure vessels or anything for road registration. Use a qualified engineer and the relevant standards for that work.

Work safely

Cutting, grinding and welding are dangerous. Wear the right protective gear, ventilate fumes (especially from galvanised or coated steel), and follow your equipment's instructions. You are responsible for how you use the results.

AI features

Photo features use AI to suggest a tube's shape or read a welder's panel. Suggestions can be wrong: always check them. Offcut never uses AI for measurements or cut geometry; those are calculated in the app from the sizes you enter.

Offcut Pro

Every joint and feature in Offcut is free. Free use includes a set number of new templates a day (the app shows how many; printing or saving a template you've already made doesn't count). Offcut Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription that removes that daily limit.

• Prices are shown in the app before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm.
• A free trial, where offered, turns into a paid subscription at its end unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
• The subscription renews automatically at the same price and period unless you turn auto-renew off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your Apple ID settings (Settings › your name › Subscriptions).
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its terms. Apple's standard licence agreement for apps also applies.

Refer a friend

You can share a code. When someone installs Offcut for the first time, enters your code and makes their first template, you each get a free month of Offcut Pro, delivered as an Apple offer code to redeem in the App Store. One code per new install; your own code can't be used on your own phone; and there's a monthly cap on free months earned by one person, shown in the app. If we run out of offer codes, an earned month is kept and appears in the app when more are available. We may end the programme at any time; months already earned are still honoured.

Our responsibility

Offcut is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for loss or damage from using it, including wasted material. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
